Havanese are famous for changing colors as they grow and mature. Sable, brindle, and pups that manifest the silvering
gene will change the quickest and will have the most dramatic change. Even the pups that don't have color changes look so
different from the newborns they once were. A tiny white stripe on the forehead at birth can mean a large white blaze as an
adult. As the spots, blazes, stripes and different colors grow longer they seem to look as if they have spread out. Colors
blend and soften creating entirely different looks. This is just another fascinating aspect of owning a Havanese!
